WHAT YOU’LL SEE, DO, AND DISCOVER

Join us on a spectacular fun-filled week in Provence and Paris! These two areas of France offer distinct yet complementary experiences, blending urban sophistication with rural charm and stunning natural beauty.

Upon arrival in Provence in the South of France, we will step into a world of quaint villages, rolling vineyards, and centuries-old traditions. Provence boasts a rich culinary heritage with a variety of regional specialties that reflect its Mediterranean climate and fresh local produce from local chefs. Experience vibrant outdoor Provençal markets filled with artisanal home goods and handcrafted local specialties. The landscape of Provence is truly breathtaking, with the rugged Alpilles Mountains in the distance, charming villages nestled in the foothills overlooking vineyards and olive groves, and ancient Roman ruins dotting the horizon. Walking tours will offer a chance to soak in the beauty of the countryside, while also learning about the history and culture of the region.

We will then travel by high-speed train to Paris, where we will experience the city’s culinary delights and explore iconic landmarks throughout the City of Light. Participants will also have the opportunity to experience French history, architecture, and culture with exclusive visits, including a day trip to France’s most iconic royal palace, the Château de Versailles.

This 7-day trip promises to combine the best of French cuisine, culture, and scenery. Enjoy a perfect blend of relaxation, exploration, and indulgence—a true immersion into the heart, soul, and history of France.

A more detailed itinerary including information on currency exchange, packing list, hotel amenities, etc. will be sent to all participants several weeks before departure. Baptiste reserves the right to modify the itinerary in light of unforeseen local schedule adjustments or weather conditions.

  • Travel to France! Don’t forget your passport!

  • Welcome to France! Travel to your hotel, meet your guide for the week and settle in your hotel. Gather with everyone for an introductory welcome meal.

Enjoy the ambience of Aix-en-Provence. This charming, yet sophisticated Provençal city is known for its elegant architecture, artistic heritage, and relaxing atmosphere. With picturesque streets, vibrant markets, and historic fountains, Aix-en-Provence offers a delightful blend of culture and tranquility.

  • Today we will enjoy lunch at a renowned Provençal château, home to the production of France's highest quality olive oil.

Next, we will take a scenic drive to Les Baux de Provence, a stunning medieval village perched atop a rocky outcrop in the Alpilles mountains. Renowned for its dramatic setting and well-preserved historic architecture, Les Baux offers visitors a glimpse into the region's rich heritage. At the highest point of the village stands the imposing ruins of the Château des Baux, a medieval fortress that offers panoramic views of the surrounding countryside. One of the highlights of our visit to Les Baux will be an immersive art experience.

We’ll return to Aix in the evening for dinner.

  • Spend the morning exploring the bustling outdoor markets of Aix-en-Provence. The scene is a vibrant gathering that showcases an array of fresh produce, flowers, cheeses, olives, local delicacies, and artisanal handicrafts, giving an authentic taste of Provencal culture and cuisine. You'll enjoy stocking up on classic Provençal specialties, including market baskets, olive oil, artisanal lavender soap, and herbes de Provence.

In the afternoon, we will travel to Cassis, a picturesque coastal village nestled between dramatic cliffs and the azure waters of the Mediterranean Sea. Characterized by a charming harbor, colorful fishing boats, and pastel-hued buildings, Cassis exudes a relaxed seaside ambiance. The village's narrow cobblestone streets wind their way through the historic center, lined with quaint cafes, boutiques, and artisan shops offering local handicrafts and specialties. Visitors can stroll along the waterfront promenade, taking in panoramic views of the sea and the iconic Cap Canaille cliff rising majestically in the distance.

A highlight of our time in Cassis will be a boat excursion to the Calanques National Park. The Calanques are series of fjord-like limestone coves and cliffs that stretch along the coast. Exploring the Calanques by boat allows us to discover hidden beaches, crystal-clear waters, and breathtaking natural landscapes.

  • This morning we will enjoy free time in Aix-en-Provence. Take advantage of this opportunity to shop for Provençal specialties, sit at a café on the Cours Mirabeau, or visit one of Aix’s wonderful art museums. Ask Baptiste for recommendations!

Later in the afternoon, we will travel to Paris by high-speed train. Elegant and vibrant, Paris is renowned for its grand architecture, rich history, and enduring cultural influence. With its grand boulevards, world-class landmarks, charming cafés, and beautifully preserved heritage, the City of Light offers an inspiring blend of sophistication and timeless appeal.

Upon arrival, we will check in at our hotel and enjoy dinner together.

  • Today we will explore Paris on foot, discovering the heart of the city where it all began including a visit to Notre Dame Cathedral and other historical landmarks.

In the afternoon, enjoy free time to explore your interests in the City of Light! Baptiste can recommend the best shopping districts, cultural sites and museums, restaurants, and more!

Later this evening, we will meet for a classical music concert in one of Paris’s beautiful historic churches.

  • Today we will visit the Château de Versailles, one of Europe’s largest and most historically significant royal palaces where we will wander the opulent halls and admire beautifully landscaped gardens once frequented by French royalty. Enjoy a leisurely lunch and reflect on our time exploring France's most famous royal palace.

Upon our return to Paris, enjoy a free evening in the city!

  • The day is yours to explore Paris, including free time to sightsee, shop, or relax.

Some suggestions include visiting an art museum, venturing to the Montmartre neighborhood to watch local painters, visiting the Sacré Cœur Basilica, walking around the Marais district with dozens of unique and trendy boutiques, shopping at grand Parisian department stores (Printemps, Galeries Lafayette, Le Bon Marché), climbing the Arc de Triomphe on the Champs-Elysées, visiting the Eiffel Tower, and more.

Please don't hesitate to ask Baptiste for ideas of things to see and do!

We will conclude our trip later this evening by gathering at one of Paris's iconic addresses for a farewell dinner and enjoy sharing favorite memories from our time together in France!
